Description   Hyperlite Imperial 135 Wakeboard - The Imperial is one of Hyperlite's totally new wakeboards for 2007.  The board was shaped by former Pro Surfer Scott Bouchard.  Scott has shaped all of Scott Byerly's boards in the past and is the inventor of the three stage rocker, molded in fins, step down rails, and the first finless wakeboard.  That is a O.K. resume, I guess! The Hyperlite Imperial is geared to be a responsive ride with a ton of pop.  The Imperial is Hyperlite's widest board with a 18" waist it was shaped to create maximum pop with a minimum swing weight.  This added surface area also creates stability.  To ensure a quick, responsive ride Butch shaped a tapered sidewall that starts tall at the center of the board then tapers to a sharper step down rail at the tip and tail.  This blend of soft to sharp sidewall creates lift and pop towards the center of the board and a fast edge toward the ends.  Aiding the Imperial in this responsive feel are its cupped molded in fins.  The first board with molded in fins buildt with a true 12 degree radius.    Finishing up the Imperials' technical package is the center beam construction, built to break heavy landings off big airs that will be generated by the explosive pop of this board.     The Hyperlite Imperial 135 is recommended for riders up to 145 lbs. and up.
