Beginner to Intermediate

Whether this will be your first slalom ski or your last, the beginner to intermediate line up of skis have something for everybody. Most skis in this category have a bit wider front and midsection. This wide body design gives the ski increased surface area over traditional skis. Increased surface area has four main advantages. First, increased surface area allows the skier to pop up and out of the water faster. Second, increased surface area provides a more forgiving ride. Third, wider skis are less fatiguing to ski. Finally, the increased surface area allows them to be skiied at slower speeds. These advantages over traditional designs allow skiers to advance faster and have a more enjoyable time on the water. Like oversize golf clubs, tennis rackets and alpine skis this new technology helps you to enjoy your skiing more and become a better skier.

Beginner To Intermediate Slalom Waterski

Beginner to intermediate level skis come in several shapes and sizes. It is important to size a ski for the largest person using it. A ski that is too small will not have enough surface area to support the weight of the skier. This lack of surface area will make deep-water starts difficult and make the ski seem to drag in the water rather than glide. Because widths and shapes vary, it is important to follow the sizing guide for each particular ski.

Slalom Waterski For Beginner To Intermediate Skiers

Modern shaped skis do not share similar sizing characteristics with traditional skis. Make sure to get your family the correct size. There are numerous shaped skis on the market, some of our favorites are the Rival from H.O. Sports and the Synchro from O'Brien. Both of these skis are available with an adjustable binding that is supportive enough for an intermediate level skier, yet flexible enough to fit a number of foot sizes.
